The Role

We are seeking an organised individual who is highly motivated and works well independently in a fast-paced environment, as well as within a team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Global Translations Team, reviewing the Spanish translations of our global solutions. The reviews will be done through a Translation Software ( Phrase). The candidate must be bilingual Spanish and English.

This is a temporary position, initially intended to cover a colleague on medical leave, with an immediate start.

The role can be based in Madrid or Bilbao, where BTS has offices. We follow a hybrid working model, with 3 days working from home and 2 days in the office, encouraging regular in-person collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Review Translated documents from English to Spanish and vice versa.

• Internalize/contextualize the translations for all the BTS language and terminology.

• Effectively communicating with internal stakeholders, clients and colleagues to ensure high quality translated materials.

• Work with colleagues from global translations teams to create best practices, and processes and build knowledge.

• Other ad hoc tasks as required.

Necessary skills

• Writing and Drafting Skills.

• Native Spanish Speaker.

• English proficiency level required.

• Experience with Translations AI Platforms. Knowledge in Phrase is a plus.

• Experience working in digital platforms.

• In possession of excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - and confidence in dealing with people

• Experience using Microsoft Office is required (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

• Independent, a quick learner and comfortable taking on responsibility

Nice to Have

Fluency in European Portuguese (not Brazilian Portuguese)

• Highly organised and flexible: pro-active; always a step ahead and on top of tasks at hand; communicates needs, instructions and decisions clearly, both verbally and in writing .
