A Strategy and Business Modeler (SBMer) is responsible for designing and building our custom business simulations that are the foundation of the learning experiences we create. These simulations are developed using our AI-First development process and platforms. We are excited to be searching for our first SBMer to be based in Australia but part of the global SBM team.

What will you be doing?

Our SBMers are key to conceptualising and brainstorming to design challenges and experiences that will elegantly simplify and get to the core dynamics and trade-offs of executing the client’s strategy in a competitive business simulation experience.

To design these learning experiences, our SBMers interview our clients’ executives and leaders, identifying the metrics and levers that are essential to the successful execution of their strategy.

During our virtual and face-to-face workshops with clients, SBMers are responsible for processing the simulation results and presenting them to client audiences between 15-50 key decision makers.

Our SBMers take ownership of concepts, execute concepts, run pilot sessions to test that simulation experience is driving the correct mindset and actionable learning outcomes.

There are no fixed industry verticals that you will be at BTS, and you won’t fly to the same city every week for three straight months, sitting in a spare cube at the client’s office. You’ll work on multiple projects at one time, across different industries, and with different clients and project teams. You will be a resource available to all our international offices and may be required to travel to the offices for specific project milestones.

Location: Sydney (preferred) or Melbourne office (glue days are Mondays and Wednesdays).

• Strong conceptual thinker with ability to translate concepts into executable solutions

• Ability to facilitate interviews or information gathering workshops with project teams to gather information, develop concepts and dig deeper beyond the obvious
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with AI tools and vibe-coding
• Ability to visualise data in a way that tells a story to the audience
• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, science, math, or economics
• Experience with programming languages / game design / gamification / digital content creation will be a bonus
• Willingness to travel for projects internationally
